The Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education (BSHEED) students will be having
their ON-BOARD PRACTICUM as part of the subject HE 118 (Food Service Practicum) with a
total number of 180 hours rendered (60 hours at the WMSU Hostel and 120 hours On-Board) of Food
Service Exepriences. The purpose of this ON-BOARD PRACTICUM is to provide students with
practical experiences in Food Preparation, Dining, and experience the Food Service Management
System On-Board.

As agreed during the parents’ meeting last June 9, 2018 at the CHE Function Room, Fifty (50)
students will go for the On-Board Practicum while Four (4) declared to have their parallel activity at
the WMSU Hostel. The proposed place, date and itinerary of this year's ON-BOARD PRACTICUM
were presented and agreed upon by the Parents during the meeting. The said Practicum will be on
September 25- October 2, 2018 from Zamboanga City to Manila via 2GO ship M/V St. Michael the
Archangel.

The department is in coordination with Happy Campers Tour and Leisure as presented by Ms.
Eleanor J. Lim as our official tour operator. The amount of the package of the Practicum is
P23,450.00 which includes the fare, accommodation and meals.

In line with this, the undersigned recommends for the following:

1. Official Business for faculty as chaperons of the students from Zamboanga City to
Manila and vice versa except for the round trip boat tickets which will be handled by
2GO.

October 1, 2018, inclusive of travel time.
