STRATEGIES
Pre-lesson
1.Hold up the flashcard of the cupboard and say What’s this ?It’s a cupboard .Ask students to repeat after teacher . Repeat
the procedure with the words armchair , bookcase , fridge and hall .
Lesson delivery
2.Have students open their books to page 46. Direct students attention to the vocabulary section at the top of the page .
3.Play the CD and have students point and repeat . ( Track 69 )
4.Say the words again in random order and have students repeat and point.
5.Have students look at the presentation and ask them different questions they can answer .
ACTIVITIES 6.Ask students to tell teacher what they think is happening .
7.Ask students to point to the bubbles and follow along as teacher play the CD. ( Track 70 )
8.Play the CD again and encourage students to shadow read.
9.Play the CD once more , pausing after each phrase for students to repeat .
10.Ask students some comprehension questions.
11.Model acting out the dialogue with three students . Choose four students to act it out for the class. Then have students
act out the dialogues in groups of four .
12. In turns , have groups of students perform for the whole class . Repeat until all students have had a chance to perform .
Post-lesson
11.Play the song Anna’s new house in the SB on page 45 ( Track 67 ) and students to sing along .
