I. PRE-ORIENTATION
A. Greetings and prayer
Good morning everyone, welcome to SAN PEDRO TECHOLOGICAL INSTITUTE!
Before we start our orientation let us have a short prayer. Let us put ourselves in the
presence of the Lord… Amen.

B. Please be seated. Once again good morning! My name is Ms. Veronica Joy A.
Celestial, your trainer for Computer Hardware Servicing. I have a degree in
Communication Arts, major in Speech Communication and an NC II holder for
Computer Hardware Servicing and Bread and Pastry Production, respectively.

I am passing around your attendance sheet; please write legibly with your name,
contact no., and signature. While some of you are signing the monitoring sheet,
kindly submit your other requirements such as certificates and other related
documents. With this, we will be able to check about your prior knowledge in this
training.

C. I will pass around this [Data Gathering Tool] to further assess your qualification
to designate you properly in our competency-based facilities. After that, you will
also receive additional forms such as [Self-assessment Check]

Recognition of Prior Learning or RPL is important in a competency-based

training. In the RPL, prior learning are acknowledged so that more time will be
saved because you don’t have to repeat what you have already learned.

D. Are you done? Now I am going to give your [Pre-test]. This is a diagnostic test
that will just measure your previous knowledge and skills so that I know where to
place you during our formal training.

The pre-test is composed of 25 multiple choice questions and should be

answered within 20 minutes. The result of the pre-test will be compared to the
post-test that will be conducted towards the end of the training period.

Since I already have the attendance sheet and your documents, Please feel free
to listen and relax for our formal orientation.
