I. Introduction / Rationale

Since ancient times farming has been a major source of food for humanity and a provider
of employment and economics benefits. A good educational level and formal competence will improve
the status of those working on it. Small scale farming make critical contributions to development in the
areas of employment with over 110 million people, the vast majority of whom live in developing
countries working in crop production, food security and nutrition.
The influence of a school that identifies with and is trying to serve the interest of a farming
community can reach beyond young generations by offering continuous education to the adult
farmers and their wives. Through such an extension of its farming educational program, the time
required for basic changes of attitude from lethargy to progress maybe lessened, and crossing thee
bridges over the generation gap made smoother, less painful and hazardous.
The offering of a farm school in the curriculum is one of the many sources heading to this
call of progress. Despite this overwhelming decisions, the school system being the core ground for
learning vaguely provide for necessities that the course calls for it. Inspite of the fact, that such course
is already part of the school curriculum because such was offered before but learning is still based on
books rather than its physical application because of the lack of facilities that could enhance the
learning process.
The project will answer the demand and needs of the students and community to study
and learn crop production without spending too much. It will benefit as well, the deserving students to
be a part of the trend. The great chances and opportunity brought about by the situation motivated
the school administration of Loctugan Integrated School to conduct a feasibility study about the
offering of Farm School this school year 2021-2022. The realization of the establishment of Farm
School will give the students the opportunities to employ in jobs in the future and at the same time
learn the skills which are very much in demand at present.
Loctugan Integrated School is located in Barangay Loctugan, Roxas City. It is eight (8)
kilometre away from the heart of the City. The source of income is basically farming and so they were
fortunate enough and could be a big help for them if such proposal become possible.
Loctugan Integrated School initiated to combat those issues, together with Barangay
Officials, local government and the Department of Education working hand in hand to provide access
to quality and efficient education.

II. Objective:

1. To provide accessible, relevant and quality education to less fortunate children and youth of
Barangay Loctugan, Roxas City and to its neighbouring barangays.
2. To help uplift the educational attainment of the people in the place and neighbouring
barangays.
3. To answer the financial problem of the parents who are below poverty line who need to send
their students in the city due to unavailability of a secondary school nearer to their residence.
4. To provide the children the opportunity to study to be able to find better jobs and to lessen their
chances of being juvenile delinquents.
5. To lessen transportation cost of the students in connection with secondary education.
6. To make secondary schools available in the locality for the students to have much time in
helping their parents doing the household chores.

III. Project Feasibility / Mechanics

(45) incoming grade 7 students one the project will be started. There are 3 feeder barangays
which will enrol grade seven starting next year. One class will be initially opened June 2021.
Each class will have 45 students. There will be 2 teachers who will be directly responsible to
