Lesson 2: Setting Goals for Success

Was it easy for you to recognize your goals in life? If you are asked to rate your
goals, what comes first and why?
I find it easy to recognize my goals in life. Knowing myself, my interests, and my
dreams for myself and for the people I love made it very much easy. The goals I have
mentioned above serve as my motivation to work hard and to continue despite the
challenges that I face every day. These have become the reason why I still manage to get
up every morning and fight. And if I were to asked to rate my goals, the goal of mine that
should come first would be loving myself more because everything starts within us, as
we are the most important person in our very own life. Learning to love oneself could
lead to happiness where we can find ways to have more purpose in life and be
motivated to pursue other goals. How can we achieve our other goals when we can’t
even achieve loving ourselves?

A goal journal is a record of your progress towards your goal. Even after you've
achieved your goal, the journal has information that can help you if you decide to go
after a different goal.

On the next page, write creatively your goal journal. You can use colors and other
art materials to make your journal even more creative and attractive.
