I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates an understanding of the principles in performing roughing-in
activities.
B. Performance The learner independently performs roughing-in activities based on the Philippine
Standards Electrical Code (PEC) and National Electrical Code (NEC).
C. Most Essential LO 1. Install electrical metallic tubing1.1 Prepare tools/equipment
Learning and materials needed for the installation of electrical metallic tubing in line with job
Competencies requirements
(MELC) . 1.2 Install electrical metallic tubing according to the job requirements following PEC
(If available, write and NEC
the indicated MELC) . 1.3 Observe safety procedure in installing electrical metallic tubing

IV. PROCEDURES
E. Introduction Do you remember what is a race way? And What is the most common race ways use in
the construction industry?
Ask the Learners their ideas of the following:
What is a raceways and kinds?
Learners: Is an enclosed conduit that forms a physical pathway for electrical wiring.
Raceways protect wires and cables from heat, humidity, corrosion, water intrusion
and general physical threats. There are three types of common raceways, including
galvanized steel (both flexible and rigid), non-metallic conduit or PVC (both flexible
and rigid), and flexible metal conduits.
What is Non metallic tubing?
Learners: Electrical nonmetallic tubing (ENT) is a thin-walled corrugated tubing that is
moistureresistant and flame retardant. It is pliable such that it can be bent by hand, and is
often flexible although the fittings are not. It is not threaded due to its corrugated shape,
although some fittings might be.
What is PVC?
Learners: PVC is a versatile material that offers many possible applications, these
include; window frames, drainage pipe, water service pipe, medical devices, blood
storage bags, cable and wire insulation, resilient flooring, roofing membranes,
stationary, automotive interiors and seat coverings, fashion and footwear, packaging
What are the different types of bend on PVC pipes?
Learners: 90 degrees bend, round saddle bend,
Offset bend and square saddle bend
F. Development “We will watch a video on how proper bending and safety procedure will be executed”
After watching the video clip ask the Learners https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=FcQ7AZ9wXh4 “What did you notice and your idea about the Video about PVC
pipe Bending? “
“So, we will perform 2 types of bending the 90 degrees bend and the offset bend”
G. Engagement The Learners will perform Bending PVC pipe 90 degrees bend and Offset bend of 45
degrees. Make a simple video on how you will perform the task
Note : To those who can access online you can make a video and send through group
chat or messenger. While those who do not internet access just save in a flash drive and
send to your teacher when you send your module.
H. Assimilation Performance Task: The Learners will perform Bending PVC pipe 90 degrees bend and
Offset bend of 45 degrees. This be graded by using the rubrics. Gaining a total point of
20
