Demonstrate
leadership, X In my Personality Theory class, I worked on an
negotiation, assignment with a group of students. We needed
relational, and to create a persuasive presentation on trying to
consensus skills sell a pen. I took the lead and created a
document which I shared with everyone so we
could start the project. We talked about which
parts we would do for the group and made sure
they were related to what we like to do or are
majoring in. We came to an agreement on when
we would meet to complete the project.
Use technological
skills to access X In Arts for Community Change, I created a
information, presentation on a project that I completed to
organize bring change to my community through the arts.
knowledge, and I handmade masks at home during the pandemic
communicate and sent them to family members around the
United States. It felt great to be able to make
something that could help my family stay safe
from the virus. I used Google Slides, Zoom and
Kindle for MacBook to complete this assignment.
Kindle enabled me to access information, while
Google Slides gave me a place to organize the
knowledge that I acquired by labeling each slide
and writing paragraphs on each. I then
communicated what I did for my personal
community to my peers over Zoom since Seton
Hill was online at this point.
Propose new
solutions to X In my Senior Seminar class, I wrote a paper to
current issues the President. I told him about or need to make
changes to bring an end to global warming and
climate change. This is something that has been
occurring for decades and is only getting worse if
we do not actively make changes. I suggested
that he could provide more money for public
transportation so that we could bring down our
CO2 levels. I offered the solution of taking away
the tax exemption on churches in order to
receive some money for this project without
lowering the budget elsewhere.
Express
arguments or X In my Gender Issues in the Workplace class, we
main points had to write a paper about working in teams. I
clearly, in written argued that women are more domineering and
and oral assertive then men. According to our book
communication Women and Mean in Management these are
aspects of a male. I saw first had the strength of
women in our group compared to the men. I also
argued that our group wasn’t great at working
together, but we got the job done. Since the
book claimed that everyone must take
responsibility to make the group work.
Sometimes others have to pick up the slack to
get the job done.
Transfer X In 20th Century Art, we did an assignment called
knowledge and reacting to the past. We were given roles of
values into sound people in art history. I was André-Paul-Charles
decision making Michel an art critic. I had to learn information on
his role in the art world to better play the part of
him. This involved making sound decision making
on shows such as the 1888 salon. I would express
my values as André-Paul-Charles Michel to my
fellow peers in their roles. I also wrote a paper
describing my ideas on the shows and how I
came to the conclusions that the artwork was
boring.

Communicate in a
second language X American Sign Language is the language
at the I excitedly began to learn during my
introductory senior year here at Seton Hill, to help
college level me with my future career. Each week I
must turn in an assignment of me
communicating in sign language to my
professor. One specific assignment was
talking about my family and where I
grew up. I reviewed the information
that the professor provided that week
and then completed full sentences
about my personal life. I have learned
how to say basic phrases and how to let
deaf individuals know that I am still
learning the language.
Analyze the
impact of history, X In 20th Century Art, I wrote an essay
geography, and titled, “Café and Cabaret Life in
socio-cultural Montmartre Paris”. I discuss the
dynamics on different social classes that interacted
global in the various cafés and cabarets in
interactions from Montmartre Paris shown through art. I
a variety of evaluated the socio-cultural dynamics
disciplinary of the individuals that were residing in
perspectives Paris during the 19th century. Such as
wealth, class and gender. People from
all over the world wanted to visit the
Moulin Rouge but the wealthiest and
more high-class individuals were seen.
The interactions that happened
geographically in Montmartre have
impacted history forever. Art, music
and dancing have all been affected due
to the lively hood of Montmartre Paris
in the late 19th century.
Analyze current
and historical X This skill is something that I feel that I
events through have not fully met. In my Genocide in
the lens of Comparative Theory course, I wrote an
spirituality and essay titled “The Power of Ethnicity in
faith the Cambodian and Rwandan
Genocides”. Within this essay I analyze
the historical events that occurred
during these two genocides. The
spirituality and faith of the groups
became altered due to the
discrimination that occurred between
the ethnic groups. The faith of the
minority ethnic groups in the
Cambodian and Rwandan genocides
diminished by the end of each disaster.
Their spirituality, culture and views
were seen as less from their opposing
ethnic groups and sadly caused hate
crimes to occur.
Assess privilege In my Genocide in Comparative Theory
and oppression X course, I created a web on Coggle
from the about everything we covered
perspective of throughout the class. In the web I
culture, race, discuss the privilege and oppression
class, and gender that occurred during genocides over
the years due to differentiating culture,
race, class and gender. The Rwandan
genocide occurred between the two
ethnic groups Hutu and Tutsi. The Hutu
ethnic group was the majority group
residing in Rwanda whereas the Tutsi
ethnic group was the minority. As the
Tutsi group began to get more
privileges the Hutu people began to
outlash. The Hutu ethnic group
attacked the Tutsi ethnic group for
being “less” and not worthy of proper
treatment because of the Hutu’s views
on their culture, race, class, and at
times gender. I have noticed through
this activity that privilege often occurs
for majority groups rather than
minority groups and oppression can
happen in various ways.
