current issues communities concerns about the lack of
afterschool activities for students. My social
work class went into Jeannette and asked
 them what they wanted to see and many of
them talked about the kids and working with
them more. Then we went to the schools to
see how we could best help the kids and they
wanted to develop their afterschool programs
especially for kids that were in the middle
between low and high risk students to fall
behind. The course worked with students of
various classes and groups to build their social
skills and relationships with others.

Express X Social Psychology SPY 215, is a writing

main points empathy and trauma in social work. Through
clearly, in written my research I argued the importance of

information at the Undergraduate Research
Conference in the spring of 2021.

Communicate in X I have been taking Spanish classes

a second throughout my entire life and so I continued
language at the my love of Spanish at SHU during SSP 105. I

ethical information from lectures notes
and discussion and apply them into my
own projects and exams. I was able to
meet this skill by demonstrating ethical
decisions-making from the philosophical

Apply Catholic X Through Senior Integrative Seminar, SLA

social teaching 400, I have applied CST to the analysis of
to the analysis of contemporary social issues such as writing
contemporary a letter to Senator Ward addressing the
social issues death penalty. I have also applied CST
during SCJ Restorative Justice, while
writing my critical analysis paper on the
criminal justice system. This paper
discusses how CTS can be applied to
criminal justice reform and how it is closely
related to restorative justice. Both
assignments were great ways I was able to
apply CST into social issues that I will face
in my career. I will use the skills from this
course in the future.

hope I made an impact on someone’s life. I
used my knowledge of justice and
combined with my charitable acts helped
people. I hope to continue serving others
in my communities and continue
combining charity and justice through all I
do.

Exercise X I am a member of the Service Advisory

responsible Board and I have been able to prepare for
freedom and various service events across campus. I
civic have attended each day of service since I
engagement started in the fall of 2018. I love serving
based on an others and so I continue to better my
informed value communities by actively helping and
system serving whenever possible. I have also
helped prepare week long service
opportunities. I pulled together a Cancer
Awareness Week with the help of other
Service Board Members and worked with
community leaders raising $700 for people
suffering from breast cancer. I am proud of
my service and hope to make the world a
better place one act of service at a time.
