1.1 Express ideas clearly, in written, x In Methods and Technique of Research class, I had to

2.1 Relate effectively across various x I have not taken a language class yet in my studies.

semester. I do feel that I have learned to relate across
cultural settings by the learning that I did in Western
Cultures I and II. I did extensive studying of the
different cultures in history learning how cultures
have changed over time.

2.2 Use time, place, and social change as x In my Organizational Communication class, I studied
frameworks for analyzing social cultural diversity and how it needs to be incorporated

on Gender Equality in my Race and Gender in

the perspective of diverse identities. specifically how black women were treated in the
past. I took an intersectional approach in my work to
look at how race and gender are compounded.

3.1 Generate, analyze, and interpret x I had to create a marketing plan and analyze our
numerical data. results week to week and compare the outcome
of our decision making. This involved an
analysis of the numbers that were produced by
the implementation of our decisions of how to
make the company more profitable. My weather
survey displays the data that I collected from the
participants and the questions that they were
asked. This meets the objective by using the data
to show where most participants fell.

3.2 Locate, analyze, evaluate, and organize, x In my Methods of Research class, we chose a
primary and secondary sources, including subject at the beginning of the semester to be our
expressive media, to comprehend the semester long project. I did both a power point

ways. We used four different books from
different genres to interpret how they
represented a view of Jesus.

4.1 Employ ethical decision-making grounded x In my Ethics class, I learned about the different early
in philosophical inquiry. philosophers and their differing theories. I had to
apply their theories to everyday situations. I was
presented with different ethical situations and had to
determine whether their actions would be justified
under Betham’s principle of Utility, the Principle of
Double Effect, or Kant’s Categorical Imperative. I
found it confusing at times with the different
principles and laws.

4.2 Apply Catholic social teaching to the x I applied the Catholic social teaching elements of
analysis of contemporary social issues. solidarity and rights of a person to the social justice
issue of fair housing. This is examined through my
code of ethics for a realtor and the obligation that we
must not discriminate. The Catholic social teaching
element of care for God’s creation is applied in my
essay written about global warming.

4.3 Explain the value of diverse spiritual and x I met this objective in my Theology class when we

read. I evaluated different characters in books in
relation to Jesus. Another way that I applied diverse
perspectives was in my essay about Anne Dillard’s
book “Teaching a Stone to Talk”. My analysis of the
silent communication with a weasel ties creationism
to evolution.

environment can affect other things since one
depends on the other. I, also, completed an
essay on what an environmentalist is and used
quotes by Yann Arthus-Bertrand who is a
French environmentalist, activist, journalist,
and photographer. These classes demonstrate
experimental learning.
