WEEKLY HOME LEARNING PLAN- GRADE 11

Learning Area: General Mathematics Weeks:

Date Covered:
MELCs:
 represents real-life situations using one-to one functions.
Objectives: At the end of this module, the learner is expected to:
1. determine if a function is a one-to-one.
2. identify real-life situation using one-to-one function.
DAY AND
TIME
LEARNING TASKS
 Wake up! It is a new day for new learning opportunities. Get ready for a fun yet
productive day ahead.

Note: Kindly use a separate sheet of paper or use the one provided by the school as the answer sheet for
all of the activities in this module. Any form of writing in the module is strictly prohibited.

Preliminaries/Introduction (What I Need to know)

 Before proceeding straight to the discussion, explain to the learner that it is
important that he/she has an idea on the learning outcomes expected at the end
of the module. This will make him/her have a goal in mind as he/she interacts
with and accomplishes the material.
 Afterwards, let the learner read and understand the What I Need to Know part
on page 1.

Pre assessment (What I know)

 On page 1-4, let the student answer the 15-item Multiple Choice Pre-test.
Instruct him/her to write only the letter that corresponds to his/her answer for
each item on the answer sheet.

PROCEDURES
1. Review/Motivations (What’s In)
 On page 5-6, let the student study the given graphs, and instruct him/her to write
the values of y in the table. Let him/her answer the given set of questions.

2. Initial Activity/Discovery (What’s New)

 In this part, let the student contact five (5) of your classmates to write their
Learner’s Reference Number (LRN) on the table provided. Instruct him/her to
answer the given questions.

3. Discussion of the Topic (What is it)

 On pages 7-9, the definition of one-to-one function and process to determine if a
function is one-to-one are given. Let the student read and analyze the examples to
better understand the module.

4. Enrichment Activities (What’s More)

 Let the students answer the following activities (page 10-11).
Activity 1.1 Understanding One-to-One Functions
Activity 1.2 True or False

5. Generalization (What I Have Learned)

 Let the student answer the identification test and let him/her identify which of the
given graphs shows one-to-one function.

6. Application (What I Can Do)

 Let the student look for several round containers or lids and record the diameter
and circumference in a table. If diameter is the input and circumference is the
output, what's the function rule?
 As he/she divides each container's circumference by its diameter to find that rule,
they should notice a constant ratio -- a rough approximation of pi. (page 13)

7. Assessment (Post assessment)

 In this part, evaluate the student’s level of mastery by asking him/her to answer
the 15-item multiple choice test on pages 13-16

8. Additional Activity
 Instruct the student to write a statement that the given words is an example of
one-to-one function. (page 17)

MODE OF DELIVERY
Modular: The parent/guardian/authorized representative shall personally submit the printed module
and activity sheets in the respective LGUs. A proof of identity shall be presented upon the
submission/claim of the materials.
Online Distance Learning: The learner can send outputs to the Google Classroom account provided by
the teacher or to any other platform recommended by the school.
