Introduction
The report introduction will resemble the abstract, but it must include other
information as well. Don’t worry about anything that seems repetitive or redundant
with the abstract; repetition here is alright because the abstract is not a replacement
for the introduction. The introduction is not supposed to flow from the abstract – they
are distinct entities within the report.
The report introduction serves to introduce the reader to the report that follows. It
needs to draw the reader in, to make her/him interested. The introduction offers more
kinds of information than the abstract did. To write an effective introduction, try to
include the following information:
 any background information that will help orient the reader (the need for the
experiment).
 a statement of the experiment’s results
 a statement including any limitations of what it does and does not offer to the
reader.
 An explanation of the conclusion of the experiment

THEORY
The use of Marcet Boiler is to investigate the relationship between a saturated
pressureand the temperature of water between ranges of 0-14 bar. By using the Marcet
Boiler, we canobserve that as the temperature of water increases, the pressure also
increases. Thus, thetemperature of water is said to be directly proportional with the
pressure.
Thermodynamics is a study related between energy and entropy, which is also deal
withheat and work. It is a set of theories that related to macroscopic properties, visible
with nakedeye which we can measure the volume, pressure and temperature.
Ideal gas law is a law in which related to pressure, temperature and also volume of an
ideal gas. Ideal gas law is originally derived experimentally measured from Charles’s
Lawand Boyle’s Law. Let P is pressure of a gas, V is a volume it occupies and T is it
temperaturewhich is in Kelvin, K. The ideal gas law state that
Experiment steps :

1- Connect the unit to the power supply to provide a heating rate of (1.5 kw) to the
electrical heater .
2- Open the level valve and switch on the power supply .
3- Wait for the steam output through the level valve to ensure that there is no air
trapped in the boiler .
4- Close the level valve and continue heating until the maximum gauge pressure
reaches ( 6 bar ) .
5- Decrease the temperature to room temperature in which the electrical heater
will be off .
6- Record all temperature readings at different pressure setting of the boiler when
the boiler is heated and cooled .

Discussion :
The relationship between temperature and pressure for saturated steam in equilibrium
with water was Exponential because the relation between pressure and temperature is
proportional because the experiment done at constant specific volume .

Conclusion :

Marcet boiler is the device which we use to study the relation in between pressure and
temperature for a water at saturated liquid phase. As we did in the laboratory, we
started heating water with constant pressure until it reached boiling point. Then, closing
the valve which created a constant volume system. Forcing the pressure to increase as
the temperature rises. And thus studying the direct relation between pressure and
temperature for water at that point. We notice that it is essential to close the valve as we
reach boiling point to make sure we are now in a constant volume process, otherwise
pressure would have never increased. causing the experiment to be useless. We also
notice that we closed the valve exactly when we reached boiling temperature (95 c at
0.9 bar pressure) and thus keeping water at saturated liquid phase. After studying the
results and plotting the diagram we find that the relation in between pressure and
temperature is directly proportional. The difference between the theoretical values and
the actual values is caused by errors with certain calculated acceptable percentages. In
this experiment, the relationship between pressure and temperature is found to be
directly proportional
