1. Prayer
Kindly stand and let us pray. (The students will pray)

2. Greetings
Good Morning Learners! Good afternoon Ma’am. It’s nice to see you.

3. Classroom Management
Before you take your seat, let’s do the
PEACE check.

P - Pick up all the mess under your

chairs.
E - Eliminates the unnecessary things (The students will arrange and pick the trashes
that are not related in the discussion. in the classroom)
A – Aligned your chairs properly.
C – Create an amazing collaboration
with your classmates.
E – Engage yourself in the discussion.

4. Checking of Attendance
Class secretary, please stand . Do we (The class secretary will report the attendance
have any absentee for today? of today)

5. Checking of Assignment Yes, Ma’am

Class do we have an assignment?

Exchange your notebook with your

classmate and write 5 points if there is
an assignment then write no assignment
if he/she don’t have an assignment.

6. Review Types of Waves

What is the last topic that we have been
discussed last meeting? Mechanical and Electromagnetic waves
What are the different types of waves?
Mechanical Waves requires medium for its
How will you differentiate the different transmission while the electromagnetic waves
types of waves? do not require any medium because they need
vacuum.

Longitudinal, Transverse and Surface waves.

How about the categories of waves?

Longitudinal waves the motion of the particles
How will you differentiate from is parallel while the transverse waves the
longitudinal to transverse waves? motion of the particles is perpendicular.

B. Elicit
I need five volunteers from each group.
This five volunteers will pick a picture
then they will show the picture from the
class. And from the rest of the class
need to combine each picture to reveal
the topic for today.

D. Explore
Very Good! Our topic for today is all
about the characteristics of waves.

To learn more about the characteristics

of waves, we will be having a group
activity. Each group will pick a number
inside of the box. Then each number Yes, Ma’am
having a corresponding task and I will
tell what is your corresponding task.

How can you describe the different

characteristics of waves?

F. Elaborate
Characteristics of Waves
1. Amplitude – maximum disturbance of
height of a wave.
2. Crest – the highest point of the graph
3. Trough – the lowest point of the graph
4. Normal Position – the line through the
center of the wave
5. Wavelength – is the distance between
successive identical parts of the wave.

G. Evaluation
Direction: TRUE OR FALSE. Write
TRUE if the statement is correct and
write FALSE if the statement is wrong.
1. Longitudinal waves and transverse
waves are the characteristics of waves.
2. The wavelength of a wave refers to the
distance between successive identical
parts of the wave.
3. Crest is the lowest point of the wave.
4. Trough is the highest point of the wave.
5. Amplitude is the minimum disturbance
or the weight of the wave.
