Time

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the Grade 1 pupils with at least 75% accuracy
should be able to:
a. name the different directions and levels;
b. express the importance of following the directions; and
c. move in different directions and levels.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Moving and Changing Directions and Levels
Reference: Living with Music, Art, Physical Education and Health

III. Procedure
A. Introduction
 The teacher will play a video entitled “Direction Dance”

B. Interaction
 The teacher will introduce the topic by showing a gif pictures to
the class.
 The teacher will discuss the different directions and levels.
 When you move towards a place in front of you, you are
moving forward.
 When you move towards the direction of your back, you
are moving backward.
 When you move towards one side, either left side or right
side, you are moving sideways.
 As you move, you can always change the levels. You can
adjust your body position to high level (standing), medium
level (setting) and low level (lying to the floor).

High level: Stand-Feet Wide Apart Medium level: Indian Sit Low level: Long log

High level: Stand-Feet Together Medium level: Half-kneel Low level: Plank
C. Integration
Using the PowerPoint presentation, the teacher will provide two (2)
activities for students.

Activity 1: Let’s move!

Direction: The teacher will ask the all students to stand up. The teacher
will then ask the students to perform the following exercises. Safety
reminders will be given to the students when giving the activity.

1. Move your body forward.


2. Move your body on your right side.
3. Move your body on your left side.
4. Move your body backward.
5. Show me high level position.
6. Show me medium level position.
7. Show me the low level position.

Activity2: I am moving…

 The teacher will show a gif movement of herself to the class. The
teacher will call students to name the movement that is
presented.

D. Assignment
 The student will be assigned to perform and record themselves
doing the different movements and level.

Direction:
Take a video of yourself while doing the different moving
directions and levels. You may ask for help from your parents or
elders to do this task. The video must only take a maximum of
four (4) minutes.
