Detailed Lesson Plan in MAPEH 7

I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

a. identify the fundamental position of feet and arms in Folk dance


b. execute the fundamental dance position of the arms and feet in Folk dance
c. appreciate folk dance through participation
II. SUBJECT MATTER
A. Topic: Fundamental Position of feet and arms in Folk dance
B. Reference: Physical Education and Health pages 135-137
C. Instructional Materials: LCD Projector, Laptop, and Visual Aids

III. PROCEDURE

A. Preliminaries

1. Opening Prayer

Student will lead the prayer.

student inside the classroom.

3. Motivation
Before we start, I will group you into
5 groups. And stay in this group up to the last
activity?

(The students stay to their respective group.)

Are you familiar with the segment “ Copy


Cut” of Showtime?

Yes Ma’am

Good! Because our activity for today is


similar with “Copy Cut”

I will show a picture and each group will


imitate what the picture shows. And for the
group who can imitate the picture correctly
they will be the winning group.

(The student will participate)


Let’s give “Yes clap” for the participating
group and Firework clap for the winning
group.

B. Presentation & Discussion

Today we are going to discuss about the


Fundamental dance position of the arms and
feet in folk dance.

There are 5 fundamental Feet position and 5


fundamental position of the Arms in

Folkdance

Kindly read the First Position? And after that,


show to your classmates the First position
based on what you read.

First Position, heels together toes apart with


an angle of 45 degrees.

Position? Kindly read?

Second Position, Astride sideward of about a


pace or 1 foot distance.

And show to your classmate.
Third Position, Heel of one foot close to the

Position? And after that will you go in front
and show to your classmate the Fourth
position of the feet.

the fundamental position of the feet in
folkdance! Everybody stand up and repeat
after me.

That’s Good! Now let’s proceed to the Arms


Position. Again how many position of the
arms do we have. Will you please read and
show to your classmate the First position of
the arms. The first position of the Arms, Encircle both
arms in front of chest with the finger tips
about an inch apart.

Great Job! Next the Second position in Arms?

Kindly read, And show to your classmate. The fourth position of the Arms, one arm in a
half circle in front, other arm raised overhead.

Good Demonstration! How about the last arm

perform the fundamental dance position of
the arms. And after that will perform both the
fundamental positions of the feet and arms.

7. Application (Groupings)

“ Say it , then Show it”

I will divided you into 5 groups Each group


will execute the Fundamental position of the
feet and arms, and Count 3, 2 ,1 to every
position. Let’s do First the Fundamental
dance position of the feet and after that the
Fundamental dance arm position. And lastly
we will to perform both the feet and the arms
fundamental positions.

Criteria for Judging

Timing and Mastery - 25%

Behavior and teamwork - 25%

Performance - 50%

100%

The teacher will read and explain the criteria.

Before we start. Everybody stand up and do (the students will participate in the activity)
some warp-up activities.

After the activity the teacher will give some


cool down activity (Stretching)
