I. Activity Design: Literacy Week Celebration

II. Rationale

Literacy is most commonly defined as the ability to read and write. But it’s not as simple as it
sounds. Reading and writing abilities vary across different cultures and contexts, and these too are
constantly shifting. Similarly, different cultures will have different perceptions of literacy. The writing
traditions of the English language make reading comprehension an essential part of literacy, but
this might not be as important in cultures or groups that rarely read printed material.
The purpose of this activity is to showcase the students’ God-given artistic capability and
employ camaraderie online amid on this CoVid19 pandemic. Also, this activity serves as an avenue
of resiliency that even the young minds of the learners could exercise the values of the Filipino
spirit. This activity will start from September 28 – 30, 2022. Moreover, this will be done with the use
of online method/strategy.

III. Objectives

At the end of this activity, the learners will be able to:

1. Read and write critically not just only in English, but also in all subject areas.
2. Produce a creative output learned from the pros.
3. Exercise their full potential to be used in other school activity and share the camaraderie
online amid on this pandemic.
