Strategies/ Method: Independent Learning Instruction using SLM/Asynchronous

Mode of Delivery: Have the parent personally hand-in the output (Answered Activity
Sheets) to assigned staff in school or through Kiosk every Saturday at a scheduled time.
Content Standard:
The learner... realizes that information in a written text may be selected and organized to achieve a
particular purpose.
Performance Standard:
The learner... critiques a chosen sample of each pattern of development focusing on
information selection, organization, and development.
Learning Competencies: At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
1. identify claims explicitly or implicitly made in a written text;
2. determine the key elements of explicit and implicit claims;
3. differentiate claim of fact, claim of policy and claim of value from each other;
4. identify claims of fact, policy and value presented in written texts.
