What are the ways you can help protect the environment (e.g., individual, community, and
global)?
Student’s Answer:

Environmental protection is defined as “programs that are aimed at reducing risks to the
environment from contaminants such as hazardous materials and wastes, fuels, and oils. These
programs address pollution prevention measures and regulatory compliance by providing
procedures for safely working with these materials, inspecting the storage vessels and locations,
and designating preventative maintenance procedures. Also included are environmental
emergency plans, which provide the appropriate actions to be taken in the event of a spill or

As a Student and a Human, I know that I am responsible for helping this planet restore its
state before we humans destroyed the nature. I will help protect the environment, individually, at
home by conserving energy or electricity. I will conserve our water by putting them on our drums
with a tabo. I will also take care of our plants and flowers at the rooftop and terrace so that they
can help reduce the Carbon Dioxide. We will also practice recycling materials and segregate our
trash so that the trash collectors won’t be having a hard time. I will also protect it as a student and
a part of a community I will join Mapua’s Sustainability development if I have time. There are also
youth volunteers here who cleans our village and I will also help them. I will also walk or bike
rather than using motorcycle or a car. It will help also my physical fitness.

Globally protecting our environment, I will help from social media, by sharing posts and stories
on Instagram because a lot of people will be seeing it as long as my followers share it, they will
become aware and help us protect the environment. I also plan to the Future than when I became
an engineer and Pilot, I will create programs that will help the world just like Elon Musk, who
created fast and reliable electric cars that can change the whole world. He changed it by using an
alternate way to use transportation without the use of Carbon Dioxide. It is not too late before we
humanity can’t change the world due to climate change, so we have to act now before we destroy
our home.
