I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the session the students should be able to:
a. Visualize and describe pyramid;
b. identify the parts of pyramid; and
c. sketches different pyramid object in real world.

c. Materials: chalks, laptop and projector, cartolina, speaker, worksheets, marker

III. PROCEDURE
Preliminary Activity
a. Drill
Show pictures on the powerPoint.
What solid figures you can see on these objects?

Sphere Cone Cylinder

Cube

Rectangular prism

b. Review
 Let the student recall the topic yesterday.

Developmental Activity
c. Motivation
Group Activity
 Group the class into 4 groups and give 1 cartolina each group.
 Play 2minutes video on how to make paper pyramid.
 Let the students do paper pyramid.

d. Presentation of the Lesson


 Let the student guess the topic of the lesson based on the group activity.

e. Discussion
 Show pyramid in powerPoint presentation.
Parts of a PYRAMID

1. What is PYRAMID?
 It is a polyhedron whose base is polygon and the lateral faces are
triangles.
 It has only one base and its number of faces depends on its base
but all other faces are triangles because all of its edges meets in
one apex.
 Types of pyramid also depends on its base.
Example:

Square Pyramid
-because its base is square

IV. APPLICATION
A. With the same group, write the name of its pyramid parts using the paper
pyramid made by the group.
