Okay, class before we start with our lesson, primary colors and secondary colors.
can anyone give me a recap of what we
tackle yesterday?
Yes! Teacher
Very Good! So the topic that we tackle "Primary colors are red, blue and yellow
yesterday is all about colors. and the secondary colors are green, orange
and violet."
Can anyone give an example of primary and
secondary colors?

Great Job students!

B. Presentation
Yes! Teacher
Okay class, are you ready and excited for
today’s lesson?

Ok class, our lesson for today is about

identifying textures on an object.
Yes, Teacher
Now, I want you to watch a video clips for you to
understand more, students please listen
carefully because after this and after my
discussion you are going to do an activity "It's all about texture ma’am!"
about this.
C. Discussion "It is refers to surface characteristics and
Children, what have we watch about? appearance of an object ma'am."

Very good!!!
Base on the video, what is your idea about
texture ?

What is a Texture?
The natural world is rich in texture: the
surface of any visible object is textured at
certain scale. A wealth of textures are
observed on both artificial and natural
objects such as those on wood, plants,
materials and skin. In a general sense, the
word texture refers to surface characteristics
and appearance of an object given by the " It is the Real texture or Tactile texture."
size, shape, density, arrangement, proportion
of its elementary parts. A texture is usually
described as smooth or rough, soft or hard,
coarse of fine, matt or glossy, and etc.
Textures might be divided into two
categories, namely, tactile and visual
textures. " It is what we called Visual or Implied
it is refer to the immediate tangible feel of a Texture."
surface ? What it is ?

Real Texture / Tactile Texture- Actual

texture, or physical texture, means the actual
physical surface of an artwork or design. It
could be smooth, bumpy, coarse, rough or
many other textures. Actual texture is the
result of the materials used and the artist or
designer's technique.
What kind of texture that is refer to the visual
impression that textures produce to human
observer?
Visual / Implied Texture- Visual or implied
texture refers to the texture in art that cannot
be felt by touch, but which resemblance is
instead achieved through the masterful use of
artistic tools and materials which are related
to local spatial variations of simple stimuli
like colour, orientation and intensity in an
image. This thesis focuses only on visual
textures, so the term `texture' thereafter is
exclusively referred to `visual texture' unless
mentioned otherwise.
I have here 4 examples of different types of
textures;

Rough Textures
These are textures that are uneven or coarse.
In simple words, not having or less smooth
texture and the opposite of smooth.
Examples of Rough Texture;
Pineapple
Cement
Sand Paper
Road
Limestone

Smooth Textures
These are the textures that are not rough. Is it
the opposite of rough. Have an even and
regular surface or appearance. It has no
roughness, lumps, or holes. A surface free
from roughness or bumps or ridges or
irregularities or having a fine-grained
structure.
Examples of Smooth Texture;
Satin
Glass
Jelly
Tomato
Paper

Soft Textures
These are textures that are pleasant to touch
or feel, not
something that is rough or hard. Can be
easily bent and have smooth curves.
Examples of Soft Texture;
A Cotton pillow or anything that is made of
cotton
A baby blanket
Soft fabriSilk
Animal fur especially cats and dogs fur

Hard Textures
These are textures that cannot easily break or
bend. Opposite of soft texture. These are
rigid, firm, solid and resistant to pressure. "Yes ma'am."
Examples of Hard Texture;
Rock
Wood
Pine Trees
Metal
Steel Bars
Bricks "Texture is one of the many elements an
artist can use to construct a work of art.
Texture is very important because texture
is an important part of our interaction with
art. it is the way in which you use them and
what texture you chose that can determine
D. Application the way your space will feel."
Now I will group you into 4 groups then every "I have learned that different textures offer
leader will pick in the jar what kinds of texture important ways of learning for us,
you will draw. especially for communication."

What you’ll need is " We can apply this learning in our real life
-Pencil especially in our jobs to be more creative
-Crayon and responsive in every objects."
-White Paper/ bond paper
-Eraser " No ma'am."
-Pencil sharpener
" No ma'am."
After you draw, every leader will explain
why you choose that kind of object to
represent your picked texture.

E. Generalization:

Why is texture important in elements of art ?

What did you learned in this lesson?

How can you apply this learning in your real

life?

Any question class?

Any clarification?
