2nd Quarter NSED 2021 Narrative Report

June 10, 2021, at exactly 9:00 am the faculty and Staff of New Visayas National
High School together with the Barangay Officials and its community joined and
participated in the Second Quarter online National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill
(NSED) in New Visayas, San Francisco, Agusan del sur Protocols were observed
during the said activity. Due to the limitation in the conduct of mass gatherings and
adherence to the set of health standards and protocols of the MIATF especially Agusan
del sur is under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine, NSED exercises requiring
Physical Interaction, particularly evacuation drills in Deped offices and schools are
hereby advised to be conducted online. This activity will help us assess our
preparedness in actual situation and promote earthquake awareness among members
of the community, parents and learners including employees on site or working at home.
However New Visayas National High School and its Stakeholders are enjoined to
practice duck, cover and hold procedure simultaneously at the set of time while
adhering to the minimum health standards to ensure awareness and preparedness on
the impending threat of the inevitable occurrence of the earthquake, even amidst the
pandemic.
In addition, crafting of NVNHS contingency plan with the stakeholders shall be
updated to incorporate scenarios, mechanism and arrangement reflective of the current
situation we are facing now a days the COVID-19 and to ensure minimum Health
Standards in the conduct of such, remote coordination and online workshop are
encouraged. Proper documentation and post activity evaluation are required. Truly
Deped’s mission continues as we go along with the various ways to shape up our future
leaders despite the pandemic that we are with.
