1. Which part of the activity have you found yourself actively participating?
Participation is an important aspect of what we do in class. During our SLP program,
Transcultural Nursing: Awakening the Picture of Culturally Competent Care, we had a
theme: "If there is one thing that everyone has in their hearts and souls, it is culture." "I saw
myself actively participating in doing the intermission number that our task leader assigned
to me, wherein I would be able to show my talent in acting. I portray the life of Mrs. Teresa,
a pediatric nurse who died because of the COVID-19 virus, and the worst thing that
happened was that before she died, she didn't receive her hazard pay, which was her only
hope for the future of her daughter Maxine.
2. How does this activity help you achieve the learning outcomes of your course/ subject?
The program we conducted requires or help me as a future nurse to recognize and
appreciate cultural differences in healthcare values, beliefs, and customs. It help me also to
acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in cultural competency because being a culturally
competent nurse helps ensure patient satisfaction and positive outcomes.
3. What are the notable observations which you made on the clients during the activity?
How did these observations appeal to you as giver/provider of the activity?
Their activeness in our program, in which when the speaker has a question, they
immediately respond in the chat box. They also asked questions after the program. The rest
of us answered the question without hesitation so that our audience could better understand
the importance of being a competent nurse, which is what our program aims to convey.
4. What values/ insights have you learned in relation to your subject as a result of this
Program?
The activity taught me the importance of being a culturally competent nurse. And the
significant values that I developed while participating in the activities were discipline,
cooperation, and actively listening, particularly to what our task leader said to do. The most

difficult aspect of the activity for me was getting tired from all of the exercises, but I was able to
overcome this by looking at the results of my hard work.
