Mark the given sentences with intonation lines.

begin with the normal pitch then goes up to a higher pitch on the accented syllable, then
goes down to a lower pitch at the end of the sentence.
Questions answerable by Yes or No have rising intonation while those that are not
answerable by Yes or No have falling intonation.
Read the sentences with correct intonation.
1. My family will always be with me.
2. Can you do it for me?
3. I will not be alone!
4. Isn’t that discrimination?
5. It was no accident.
Ask the students how important is the use of correct intonation in expressing ideas.
