COVID-19’S IMPACT ON EDUCATION

In India, around 250 million students were

affected due to school closures at the onset of
lockdown induced by COVID-19.
Education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of
e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on
digital platforms.

The education purpose includes discipline, how to behave and these all cannot be taught
on the online platform. The problem with online education is that one cannot have
continuous interaction with the teacher to solve their doubts or calm the exam fear.
Children who have been studying online for almost two years
are now back to school, but their behaviour suggests they are
not transitioning well.

Online education appears to have robbed students of

speed writing. Teachers who observed students of
senior classes, who either took tests or preliminary
examinations after schools reopened recently, said their
skills to apply pen to paper have frozen. – The Times Of
India

Students in government schools were the most affected

by school closure as many of them did not have access
to devices for attending online classes. However, they
are also struggling with the transition back to the
classroom.
