I. Executive Summary
Banana graham balls and banana pie will provide a combination of a nutritious and
quality dessert bites at a very affordable price with the use of banana. It is primarily
made of banana or also known as “saging” and it is shaped into balls and then coated
with more crumbs while banana pie is made out of saging sab’a and has a coating of
chocolate syrup This one is gaining a lot of popularity recently, and it is actually
something that your family will enjoy making and eating because it is not too sweet
and you can choose your own topping – for banana graham balls it has topping of
desiccated coconut and for banana pie it was coated with black sesame seeds.This
dessert of ours is a good business venture developed by four people who share
brilliant ideas in order to pursue this product. These four individuals have taken an
interest and love for graham balls and banana pies which is perfect for “panghimagas”
after we eat. They have come up with an idea of having an innovation to the
traditional graham balls which is made out of pure graham balls and the old type of
buko pies into a new and with a twist and taste with the use of banana.

II. The Vision


Our vision for the proposed product is for our target customers who love to savor
sweet dessert bites, banana graham balls and banana pie is an incomparable ssnacks
that contain many benefits and essential vitamins that comes from the nutrients of the
banana.
Mission
To make a unique dessert bites that is yummy by using the product we are rich in:
Banana.
Goal
We want to provide a good quality dessert bites at the same time containing health
benefits snack at a very remarkable price.
III. Introduction
There are a lot of snacks sold in our place but we want to offer them a new and unique
dessert bites and there is still possible market demand for another kind of dessert that
is healthy, tasty and affordable especially for those individuals who are health
conscious or is very particular in taking sweet foods. The banana or also known as
“saging” is an elongated, edible fruit, and sweet-tasting which is best paired when we
eat and that it is classified under the fruit family. Its skin color can be green when it is
not yet ripe and yellow when it’s already ripe, while the color of this in inside or its
flesh is white. It is very cheap here in the Philippines since we are rich in bananas
here for we grow crops like this and it is definitely healthy. Commonly, people from
the Philippines eat saging for snacks. They either make it into banana cue, pinaypay,
turon or boil it.

product where a banana pie and banana graham balls is made out of these kinds of
fruit and customers will choose their own toppings, sesame seeds for banana graham
balls and for banana pie it is has a coating of chocolate syrup. It is located at Perez
Street, Kidapawan City. The idea of having this kind of product and its concept was
developed by four individuals. Banana graham balls and banana pie will provide a

These four individuals have taken an interest and love for graham balls which is
perfect for “panghimagas” after we eat. They have come up with an idea of having an
innovation to the traditional graham balls which is made out of pure graham balls a
new twist and taste with the use of banana.
The business proponents of this product who made this possible and made an
innovation to the traditional graham balls and buko pie by using banana are Daiyang
Mohamad, Mia Tricia Ante, Lizzamae Sanchez, and Jomar Gabriel Dua Llena who
are currently in the 3rd year college taking up Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration Major in Marketing Management.

IV. Proposed Product (Line) Concept(s)


Banana Graham Balls and Banana Pie commits to give the healthier and more
natural and best product it can serve. By maintaining the high quality standard, it will
give the customers the best taste. Only dedicated personnel will do the product and
promise the best food preparation, sanitation and handling to give the accurate
product that the customers deserve. It has its own main ingredients. For the Banana
Graham Balls, these are the ingredients: Banana (tundan), Crushed grahams, powder
milk, brown sugar and desiccated coconut for the coatings. For the banana pie the
ingredients are banana (sab’a) rice flour, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, iodized salt,
baking powder, black sesame seeds, vanilla essence, and melted butter, water,
cooking oil, brown sugar and chocolate syrup.
Product Features
Banana Graham Balls and Banana Pie is somehow new in the market but we will
make sure that the target market will love this dessert bites. It’s unique feature is the
special toppings which is the desiccated coconut and chocolate syrup for banana pie.
Future Pricing Plan
In line with our product offering and its cost, we will incorporate the pricing strategy
which is the “Penetration Pricing Strategy”. It was stated by David Kurtz that it
involves relatively low entry price compared to the other offerings. These initial low
prices will help secure or be accepted in any target market effectively on its
affordability.
Promotion
The proprietors would like to promote their product through social media and
personal selling. We will be providing details of our product in social media platforms
along with the product photo. If we will do personal selling, we will first conduct free
taste for the buyers for them to assess what our product taste like.
Placement in the Market
This two product Banana Graham Balls and Banana Pie will be sold through the
store in Perez Street, Kidapawan City where a stall will be installed.
Target Market
Our target market for our proposed product covers a large number of customers
especially the children, teens, adults or any people that has cravings for sweets. All
people that comes in Kidapawan City will be our target market for our product.

V. Description of Product Concept

Packaging

The packaging type of our product will be unique since we will be putting our
finished product in a plastic container. The banana graham balls will be placed inside
a round plastic containers and the banana pie will be placed into rectangle plastic
containers. All packaging is determined by factors such as cleanliness, ease of access
to the products inside and cost.

VI. Market Issues and Trends

This two dessert bites products made out of banana will become popular and will
be patronized in the market since we are now going back to our face-to-face classes
and that one of our target markets are the schools nearby and any passersby along
Perez Street.

A. Situation analysis
The product “Banana Graham Balls and Banana Pies” has no direct
competitors because it has not been released to the market sbut has different indirect
competitors. The product’s competitors satisfy the needs and cravings of the market
since most of the Filipino snacks’ companies are established and have operated for
years. Hence, Banana Graham Balls and Banana Pies though new but still it can
satisfy the needs of the customers especially those targeted customers who wants to
eat nutritious but a tasty and sweets bites. The demand for our product is not
recognized for which the product is not yet introduced to a larger size of people but to
only few who have their free taste with our dessert bites. With regard to external
factors, our products are safe because we used banana fruit which is much healthier
and does not harm the environment and the health of someone who consumes it but,
the company plans to use disposable products such as paper plates for the packaging.
In line with this, the company will try to create environmentally friendly containers
such as banana leaves in order to avoid the usage of plastics and for us to help
preserve mother earth.

Future Trends

Banana Graham Balls and Banana Pie is a very flexible product open for many
innovations to happen in the future. Banana as the main ingredient can be used to
make another product. The company is planning to maximize the use of many
toppings that our customers can choose and with more flavors to create more
nutritious and yummy dessert bites products with the use of banana. One product that
the company has in mind is to level up the toppings of banana graham balls into
sprinkles or peanuts.

Banana Graham Balls Procedure:


1. Peel the banana.
2. Mash bananas evenly.
3. Add 2 cups of crushed grahams.
4. Add 5 tbsp. of sugar.
5. Add 1/4 cup powder milk.
6.1/2 cup desiccated coconut.
7. Mix well.
8. Make it into ball shape.
9. Roll it on desiccated coconut.
10. Make it ball shape on the banana grahams left and coat it to desiccated
coconut. Repeat the same process.
11. When it’s finally done, you can put it on the storage packaging.

Banana Pie Ingredients:

1 kilo Saging Sab’a – P 45.00

100 grams Rice Flour- P 7.00

200 grams All-purpose Flour- P10.00

50 grams Cornstarch- P5.00

½ tsp. Iodized Salt- P1.00

1 tsp. of Baking Powder –P 1.00

1 tbsp. Black Sesame Seeds- P 3.00

1 tsp. Vanilla Essence (optional) –P1.00

1 tbsp. of Melted Butter- P 3.00


450 ml. of water – P4.00

Cooking Oil- P20.00

1 tbsp. of Brown Sugar- P5.00

Chocolate Sauce (optional) –P 20.00

Total: P 125.00

Banana Pie Procedure

1. Put the banana on the plastic cellophane


2. Flattened the banana. Continue with the process on the remaining banana
and set aside when you finished flattened the banana.
3. Let’s proceed to butter mixture.
Add 100grms of rice flour on the mixing bowl.
4. Add 200grms of All- purpose flour.
5. Add 50grms of Cornstarch.
6. Add 1 tsp of Baking Powder.
7. Add 1/2 teaspoon of iodized salt.
8. Add 1 tbsp. of brown sugar.
9. Mix the dry ingredients.
10. After mixing add 1 tbsp. of melted butter.
11. Add1 tsp. of vanilla essence.
12. Add 450ml of water.
13. Mix it well until the ingredients will be dissolved.
14. After mixing add sesame seeds.
15. Put the bananas on the buttered mixture then fry same process with the
remaining bananas.
16. Coat the bananas on the buttered mixture twice and fry it twice
17. After frying and put it on the tissue to remove the excess oil.
Fill the chocolate syrup.
How I will Price my Products?

In line with our product offering and its cost, we will incorporate the pricing
strategy which is the “Penetration Pricing Strategy” which it was stated by David
Kurtz that it involves relatively low entry price compared to the other offerings. This
initial low price will help secure or be accepted in any target market effectively based
on its affordability.

B. Delivering the Product to the Market

Banana Graham Balls and Banana Pie are two perfect sweet treats for our
“panghimagas” after we eat in anytime of the day. We developed this special and
unique product and later on it will be introduced to the market because, we saw that
these two are not still available in our locality and here in Kidapawan City. Since
people love to enjoy and try new foods and snacks ideas which will eventually satisfy
their cravings, this product will match their tongue taste and cravings. Our product
can compete in the market and with other snack products considering that the key
ingredients used provide nutrients and has health benefits. We ensure that the product
distribution is well-planned and implemented, and that it is relevant to our company's
overall objective and marketing strategy.
