WEBINAR
LEARNING JOURNAL

Frankly speaking, the planning of our event was a hassle and exhausting due to limited time and
simultaneous submission of assignments from other subjects. Nevertheless, our hard work, dedication,
and sleepless nights paid off as we delivered a fruitful and triumphant virtual event. The planning was not
new and challenging due to some insights learned and noted from our first webinar, "Gatherings of the
Champions." Our first webinar became the backbone to conduct our individual webinars, and thankfully, it
was fully efficient. After the ADI or Activity Design and Implementation was approved, I disseminated the
tasks and grouped my team members into three namely: collaterals, technical, and audio-visual
presentations (AVPs). Then, the construction of the program layout was followed, and afterward, the
making of publication materials. The collateral team started making a poster of the program, program
layout, and E-Certificates for speakers, participants, and the working committee. Simultaneously, the
making of AVPs by my assigned team and preparation of PowerPoint presentation. After the finalization
of collaterals, PPT, and AVPs, the practice of a dry run of the event was the next step. We utilized the
ZOOM to practice the hosts and technical team. Maybe we took five-time practices to hone and enhance
them.

During the event, we (organizers) were the early birds to enter for sound check. We prepared
ourselves to rename, and change our backgrounds. Then, we start accepting participants. The webinar
started on time. We keep updated with one another through our group chat messenger. I assisted my
technical team and was always on standby to help. Thankfully, the virtual event ended amazingly and was
worthwhile as most of our participants responded overly satisfied with the webinar.

Based on the evaluation, our participants gave positive feedback on the webinar. They said that
the technical aspect was good because the sound and quality of the video were clear. Moreover, they
said that the flow of the program was well organized, easy to follow, and understandable. The webinar
started on time, although the end was not on time, it was still okay for the participants. The participants
enjoyed, gained many insights, were encouraged, and hoped to have more webinars just like what we
prepared for them.

On the negative side, we only encountered one. The delivery of the sharing of Ma'am Tina
because her audio was fuzzy. It was a little bit difficult to understand her during her talk. We missed
having a sound check for her to know that her audio is clear and loud. We should have to keep in mind to
check or maybe told her that her audio was not good. I recommend informing her earlier and having a
better microphone. It will prevent a muffled voice for a better quality of delivery.

In this webinar, I’ve learned a lot more about the management of a webinar. I became more
knowledgeable about organizing and disseminating tasks. At first working on an event seems so stressful
because of all the moving pieces. The challenge was knowing where to start when I was faced with a
mountain of tasks. But, I enhanced my prioritization skills at a team leader level. I should not do all the

tasks all by myself. I know to break down a giant to-do list into a series of bite-sized line items and
delegate them accordingly. In addition, I valued time more and used it wisely. There never seems to be
enough minutes in a day to get everything done, so I mastered using what I do have to best effect. The
conduct of the webinar also taught me to keep swimming. Working in the event comes with a lot of ups
and downs. Some things don’t work out, and many revisions of the tasks pilling up. But, I keep in mind to
become resilient and find a solution. Thus, the event focused on staying the course and swimming along.
