MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This Memorandum of Agreement made and executed this 18 th day of February 2022, at
Barangay 11, Malaybalay City, by and between:

The BARANGAY GOVERNMENT OF BARANGAY ELEVEN -

POBLACION, MALAYBALAY CITY, a local government unit, created and
existing under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, with principal office
address at Barangay 11, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, represented herein by
HON. EMILIO R. CID, Punong Barangay, hereinafter referred to as the FIRST
PARTY.

BCT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, a DepEd Managed Public Elementary

School, located at Barangay 10, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, represented
hereinafter by MR. RICKY S. BARCENA, School Principal, hereinafter referred
to as the SECOND PARTY.

W I T N E S S E T H:

WHEREAS, THE BARANGAY through the incumbent members of the Brgy.

Council, having a goal for biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation and
sustainable reforestation projects that will include environmental protection.

WHEREAS, THE BARANGAY is mandated to initiate collaborative efforts with

the LGU of Malaybalay City, other Government Agencies, Academe / Schools including
Private Sector and business community in order to generate support and encourage
multi-sectoral participation

WHEREAS, the BCT Elementary School being committed to contribute to the

betterment of the society and cooperate to the priority programs of the Barangay and
the National government on resource conservation and protection and climate change
mitigation, will participate in the activity of the BARANGAY to plant forest trees,
greening program and riverbank rehabilitation program on the designated areas of
Barangay 11.

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and of

the mutual covenant and stipulation hereinafter set forth, both parties agree as follows:

1. Implement the Climate Change and Adaptation Plan of Barangay 11, precisely
on the tree planting activity and riverbank rehabilitation program.

2. Maintain and develop the off-site tree park.

3. Commit and share resources and other support services to implement the plan
within the parties’ mandates and areas of responsibilities.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES

The Barangay Government of Barangay Eleven shall:

1. Identify the area of the Tree Park to be maintained and developed.

 2. Provide assistance in seed sourcing, collection, processing and storage as
well as establishment of nurseries and facilities.

The BCT Elementary School shall:

1. Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the project.

DURATION AND EFFECTIVITY

This Memorandum of Agreement shall take effect after upon signing by both
parties and shall remain effective for a period of two (2) years.

In the event of any doubtful issues that may be raised concerning provision of
this Agreement, the parties shall immediately exert efforts to settle the same amicably.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the PARTIES hereunto signed this Memorandum of

Agreement this 18th day of February 2022 at Barangay 11, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
