COMMENTS ON THIS SUBMISSION
General Comments
1. The contractor is requested to transfer the datum level to some place and keep it undisturbed until the final
measurement.
2. The final benching volume shall be considered for accounting purposes based on the most economical foundation design
for an individual tower location based on the design parameters recommended by the soil investigation agency for that
particular location.
3. It is advised to verify the CP lowering proposed in the diagonal profile and benching calculation with the values used in
the longitudinal profile of the respective towers and if any extra lowering than the approved longitudinal profile is
required, check the ground clearance and weight span criteria’s due to this effect. Also note the CP lowering used in the
profile comprising of the tower height adjustment from GL to reference point (PL). Pls rectify the mistakes if any.
Comments in this submittal
1. Loc # APD 10C/0 : CSD No. : EF-7600 N 0538 Rev .A (sheet 1 of 2 & sheet 2 of 2) :
 The Tower type ATE12+2 with individual leg extensions (A=+3 m, B=+8 m, C=+2 m, D=+2 m) with a proposed
CP lowering of 2.0 m and benching volume of 2555.22 m³ has changed to ATE12+2 with individual leg
extensions (A=+7 m, B=+12 m, C=+6 m, D=+6 m) with a proposed CP lowering of 5.0 m benching volume of
3616.47 m³ .INABENSA is solely responsible for this changes as the terrain changes are happened because of
the access road formation before finalizing the tower positions and demarcating and protecting the leg areas.
Hence we are recommending to TRANSCO not to pay the extra cost regarding the tower extensions and
benching quantity increment happened due to the negligence of the contractor.

 The individual LE selection are found to be correct.

 The angle of deviation of APD10 C/0 = 11° 03’20” RT, Since the terrain near down most leg ,Leg B (in tension) is not
much critical we are recommending to reduce the CP lowering by 4.0 m in place of 5.0 m proposed ,k eeping the
down leg B at 10.0m level below the CP ,there by the benching volume proposed can be reduced. Please revise .

 The Total benching volume shall be verified after site measurement after completion of benching work

 The angle of deviation of APD11A/0 = 09° 17’43” LT, Since the terrain near down most legs ,Leg C & D (in tension)
are not much critical we are recommending to reduce the CP lowering by 2.0 m in place of 3.0 m proposed ,k eeping
the down legs A,C &D at 8.0m level below the CP ,there by the benching volume proposed can be reduced.
Please revise.

4. Loc # APD 11A/1 : CSD No. : EF-7600 N 0541 Rev .0 (sheet 1 of 2 & sheet 2 of 2) :

 The individual LE selection are found to be correct.

 Please confirm the -3.50 m CP lowering considered in longitudinal profile are excluding the height adjustment ( 0.5
m is presently changed to 0.75 m). If this 3.5 m is including this 0.5 m , pls reduce the CP lowering by 3.0 m in place
of 3.5 m proposed . Please revise the benching calculation.
