SUMMER HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

Dear Students,
Summer is a time to relax, be productive and to get ahead.
As important as it is to rest and enjoy, it is also important to
continue to learn. You can spend your time as you wish but
make sure that along with enjoying and relaxing make this
summer a time to learn new things, exploring the

planned activities to keep your skills sharp and concepts
clear. Use your energy and give a vent to your creativity. It

▪ Help mother in laying the table and cleaning it.

▪ Take two old cups or bowls, fill one with water and other with seeds
everyday and keep it outside for birds to drink and eat.
▪ Switch off lights and fans when not in use.
▪ Remember and use magic words – Please, Thank you, Sorry. Use them
in your daily routine.

ENGLISH:

Newspaper has a very long history in India. Write a short

paragraph on some interesting facts about India’s first
newspaper. Find out –

* the name of India’s first newspaper

* the year it was first published.

* the name of the person who published it

* the price it was sold at.

* for how long was it published. ( can add two or three

sentences of your own)

Paste pictures also. Do it on A4 size sheet.

* Read at-least 2-3 stories from any book and write 10-15 words
(new) you have learnt from the stories.

* Do one page writing twice a week.

MATHS:

1) Make a working model of Place value ( 4/5 digit number)for

Indian system of numeration.

2) Make a mathematical table learning machine from cardboard. The link for
the same will be shared in Google classroom.
3) Make 3 origami envelopes of different size and colour .The link of the same
will be shared in Google classroom.

4) Learn multiplication tables from 2-20 .

5)Do the worksheets shared(in Google classroom and ERP) in practice copy .

All the 3 items will be accessed during your class .No need to send/post
anywhere.

EVS

Make pictures of 4 different animals using dry leaves in your

EVS note book.( Refer pg 26 of book).Name the animals.Click the
picture and make a single a pdf of the animal .

COMPUTER:

Roll no 1 to 18

Make a picture dictionary with Alphabets A till M using

words based on computers and make a pdf of it and
send in google Classroom under Assignment Holiday
Home work.
