III. PROCEDURE
Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
“Good morning, class!” “Good morning, Sir!”
“Let us pray first… Amen. ” (One student will the prayer)
2. Checking of Attendance
"Class beadle kindly present the “Sir, everyone is present for our class
attendance of the class" today"
4. Review
"Before we proceed with our new lesson this
morning, let us first recall the lesson we had "Sir, our previous lesson was all about
last meeting, is anyone from the class can the Pythagorean Theorem"
recall our last discussion?"
Excellent.
5. Motivation
Trivia
"Class, we all know that triangles comes in
many variations we have equilateral,
isosceles, right, obtuse, and acute triangles.
But did you know that the triangles is the
strongest shape? Try creating a shape out of
sticks joined with hinges for example square
with or without force it will turned into a
parallelogram but not for triangles. Triangles
are becoming used more in construction.
They are harder to use than rectangles, but
can be stronger and may be more resistant
to earthquakes. That's why we have some
landmarks like this.
"Yes, Sir."
Spelling Bee
1. Opposite 6. Cosine
2. Adjacent 7. Cotangent
3. Theta 8. Trigonometric
4. Hypotenuse ratio
5. Sine 9. Tangent
10. Cosecant
"Yes, Sir."
B. Lesson Proper
"Very good"
"Of course, we know already how to solve "Sir we have side a as our opposite
for the sides right?" and c as the hypotenuse then,
Sin ϴ = a/c
"Yes, very good. But can we solve the
measurement of angles using the theorem?"
Very good. Our topic this morning is about "Sir, just like the first ratio for sine
solving measurements of a triangle with the where a as the opposite side, b as the
use of the six trigonometric ratios. adjacent and c as the hypotenuse we
have:
2. Discussion For Cosine ratio: Cos ϴ = b/c
Let's have this illustration. For Tangent ratio: Tan ϴ = b/a
a c "Yes, Sir"
θ
b
C = Cosine Theta
A = Adjacent side
H = Hypotenuse
T = Tangent
O = Opposite
