“I care and Share”

A pleasant day , everyone!

Teacher: Mrs. Celina C. Gamao

Second Quarter- Week 1
Literature in English involves the reading and analysis of written materials including fiction
and non-fiction written works in literature .Literature represents the culture and tradition of a language
and people. The concept is difficult to precisely define , though many have tried; it’s clear that the
accepted definition of literature is constantly changing and evoking.

It makes you a wiser and more experienced person by forcing you to judge, sympathize
with or criticize the characters you read about. It helps you compare your experience with the
experience of others.

In this module , you will do the following:

Lesson 1
----note details in each poem
--- compare the qualities of the animals to people
---- explain the content of each poem

Lesson 2
---- identify the social issue or concern found in the one-act play
----- relate the content of the one-act play to real life situation
----- create a slogan which brings out the social issue

To do well in this module, you need to read and understand the following:

Lyric Poetry-The Tiger , The Lamb

The Beggar and the King( a one-act play)

As you go along the module you need to search for the answer to the question,

How can we make the literary texts meaningful to our life?
