This menu option enables the ratemeter in the instrument and simulates a ratemeter on the VDU. The ratemeter functions simulated on the display by arowof*+" above ascale, in CPS. Editing one causes the other to automatically change. Ifthe programmable goniometer channel is selected, the “Scaler number" field can bbe changed to “GON or “1”. An additional field is then displayed in which the channel name can be placed. ‘The *Scaling’ field gives a choice between a fixed range, entered by the operator, or automatic ranging. The “Time constant’ field is used to provide smoothing of the ratemeter reading ‘The “Load option allows a sample to be loaded into the measuring position, “Unload” returns the sample to the loading position.
