Page 9-72 PW1660 Service Manual 910630 3. Check the KV control function again. & Set the HT to 30kV/1mA before switching the HT on b. Measure the the voltages on test point X6 (Reference voltage) and on the KVM line, they should be both equal -3V. If the voltage on the KVM line is missing then the fault is the X-ray tube or in the HT tank, Afier the test open spot $ and replace the kY control board. 9.0.3.4 mA Control Tho mA control function is dependent on the proper working of the HT generator; because the filament driver supply voltage is taken from the secondary of the HT transformer. So, the mA control can be checked by measuring the re ence voltage, MAM voltage and the triggering pulses, NOTE: Mount the mA control on a oxtension board. Close spot § on the KV control board, if necessary. 1. Reference voltage. Measure the voltage at the junction of R63 and R3. b. The voltage must be ~6V +60mV. adjust it with Re3. Check the voltage at X1 is 1V with power on and the HT off 2. MAM voltage. @ Set the HT to 20KViAmA, b. Switch the HT on, Measure the voltage at X1. This voltage must be +4V, . Measure the voltage on the MAM line, this should also be +4V. 3. Voltage at spot X2. a This voltage is the difference difference between the reference and measured voltages, this pro- vides the input to the VCO, b. The output pulse rate is dependent on the diference voltage. ¢_Practical pulse rates are given Section 9.10.2. 4. Trigger pulse circuit. The trigger pulse can be checked at the measuring spots X4, XS, and X6. b. The output pulse at spot X6 is connectedto the HT tankinputforthe currentcontrol. The pulse is ted 10 a fibre glass cable to isolate the low tension side trom the HT side. Oo &
