A.L.1 Key Functions
1. Anoption can be selected from a menu by either:
a __ Entering the number of significant characters necessary to clearly indicate the required item, for
‘example “M" for Measurement, “Ch” or “ch” for Channel calibration,
b. Highlight the option using the up/down arrow keys, then press the key.
Selecting an option causes either another menu, an error message or an “action form” to be displayed
2. Theoptions available from an action form are listed at the bottom of that screen. if changes are required to
the information on the action form, the “Edit” option must be used.
3. Any data entered from the keyboard must be ended by pressing the key.
4. The function keys PF1 to PF4 are used to implement the following functions:
PF1 = Goto previous menu
PF2 = Help
PF3 = Print screen
PF4 = Goto main menu
5. Two of the above functions (PF1 and PF4) can also be implemented using the “slash” (/) key:
/ = Go to previous menu
11 = Go to main menu
6. Some error messages may appear on the screen after initial start up (¢.9. due toloss of system parame-
ters from RAM). These can be removed by pressing PF4 twice.

Pressing keys 7 and 8 ("previous value" and “reset value’, respectively) causes the program to step forward or back-
ward through the default values, for that option.
Prossingkey 3—“get original” cancels all changes made to an option, during an edit session, and retumsittoits original
value.
