DISSEMINATION OF REGIONAL MEMORANDUM NO. 668, S. 2022

RE: NATIONAL HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION (BUWAN NG KASAYSAYAN)

1. Per Proclamation No. 339 dated February 16, 2012, every month of August is
declared History Month (Buwan ng Kasaysayan) to emphasize the most significant
turning points in Philippine History. The theme for this year’s History Month celebration
is “Kasaysayan, Kamalayan, Kaunlaran.”

2. In consonance to this Proclamation, this Office encourages all elementary and

secondary schools to integrate local and national historical events of our country in their
daily lessons and to conduct other relevant activities for this month-long celebration.

3. The Division Araling Panlipunan Supervisor/Focal Person shall submit

accomplishment reports through Power Point presentations or through 5-minute video
presentations relative to this year’s National History Month celebration on or before
September 8, 2022 through email, quirico.sumampong@deped.gov.ph.

4. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is directed.
