1. GENERAL
1.1. Introduction
This Standard Operational Procedure is to describe the outline construction methods for
preparation and installation of fencing works. This document are prepared with attention to detail so
that the result are meet the standard specification requested.

2. SCOPE
This document describe the method and procedure for fencing preparation and installation,
such as pre-fab of steel and setting out area at PT. Krakatau Posco Continuous Casting Plan area.
3. WORKS SUPERVISION
3.1 Site Manager : Responsible for overall execution and administration of the project as per
contract requirements, specifications and Quality Plan. Directly control the Project Control
and Project Coordinator.
3.2 Project Coordinator : Overview & regulate required resource, progress, & QC plan by
engineer, & ensure it executed properly and according to plan. Monitor availability of all
resources as per schedule. Directly control foreman, supervisor, project control, site engineer,
project admin.
3.3 Supervisor : Plan and obtain required manpower and resources in coordination with the
Site Engineer & Foreman. Carry out all activities as per the planned schedule to achieve target
dates. Coordinate with respective disciplines of work and liaise with the site engineer &
project control for day to day activities.
3.4 Site Engineer : Assess manpower, equipment or other resources required to ensure timely
completion of the project. Monitor availability of all materials as per schedule. Carry out QC
inspection complying with standard and ITP. Ensuring project are executed complying with
latest engineering drawing.
3.5 Safety Officer : Responsible for monitoring and implementation of safety related matters
such as work permits, First Aid, PPE, approval of diversions, follow the safety and traffic
regulations by all the workmen during the construction, according to the approved project
HSE plan. First Aid boxes are readily available with HSE officer and other two numbers at
site personnel’s vehicles for site requirements

5. WORK EXECUTION
5.1 Method
Contractor will submit shop drawing and works will start upon acceptance from owner. From
the approved shop drawings the the weight of standard length and cut to length bars & sheet are
taken into account. From this take-off, the pre-fab order can be placed.
5.1.1. The various suppliers of steel will be submitting the mill certificates. These will be
forwarded to Site Engineer & Owner for approval. The yield stress tests result are
carried out from random bars and tested at an approved supplier test laboratory.
5.1.2. The mill certificates will be reviewed and listed together will be correlated against the
delivery documents.
5.1.3. Fabrication shall comply to approved shop drawing, and any welding works will be
executed by certified and tested welder.
5.1.4. Fabricated material will be stored in a neat and tidy manner and according to contract
documents to make it possible to keep track of the specific delivery from the factory.
5.1.5. Fabricated materials shall coated comply with owner specification.
5.1.6. Setting out installation area will be reviewed and shall not continue before approval
from client.
5.1.7. Soil excavation are executed by hand if possible, if not, it shall executed by verified
excavator.
5.1.8. Installation and assembly will comply to shop drawing and inspected together with
owner
5.1.9. Upon installation, steel shall recoated and applied top coat
The main works will include activities such as cutting, welding, and surface coating.
All works will only commence upon acceptance and/or approval of material and tools from
foreman and/or supervisor and/or engineer.
Safety precautions are to be adhered by ensuring that, all plan are executed by authorized
workers. All workers in will be provided with safety gears including dustmasks, hand gloves,
welding mask, helmets, glasses, and others as applicable.

6. SAFETY PRECAUTION
Safety will be the first consideration and the highest priority. The Concrete work process
will follow safety viewpoints, following :
6.1 Make sure the necessary document prior to work is being approved by autorized
personnel;
6.2 Ensure the risk of work to be performed, prior to start have been assessed and the
countermeasures have been determined. Make sure HIRA are cascaded to the workers and
clearly understood before working starts;
6.3 Make sure “Tool Box Meeting” in working place is conducted before starting work;
6.4 Ensure all workers are wearing proper PPE during taking responsibility;
6.5 Make sure all tools and equipment are checked prior to use and regular checking shall be
done;
6.6 Safety sign and hard barricade should be placed surrounding the location and as per
directed by PTKP representative. Clear and safety for access go to pouring concrete
area;
6.7 The casting concrete which using crane and bucket shall be submitted the lifting plan and
work at height certificate before start the activity (if needed);
6.8 The site survey process should not be done inside barricade area;
6.9 Proper lighting must be prepared for work at night;
6.10All vehicles and equipment that will exit the work area or project must be cleaned first.
6.11Multi-gas detector usage prior to work.
