Types of Garbage
A. Biodegradable - such as leftover food, leaves or any part of the plant that has fallen off or dried up
B. Recyclable Items - Things that can still be used or sold such as paper, cardboard, cans, metal or steel,
empty bottles, plastic, and scraps.
C. Hospital Wastes - Disposable or infectious wastes such as bloody or used cotton swabs, and disposable
diapers

Remember!
When waste is collected in the appropriate container, the spread of disease-
carrying germs can be prevented. It will also help the garbage collectors to
work smoothly and quickly.
