LEARNING ACTIVITY 2: STANDING ON THE SHOULDER OF THE GIANTS

The earliest known shoes, which date to around 12,000

years ago, are from American caves. However, experts believe
that wearing shoes alters the morphology of your feet and toes,
and evidence for this first became visible about 40,000 years
ago. It is developed from a single cowhide piece, and the front
and back are laced with leather cords. The use of the shoes is to
protect the feet from rocks and thorny plants and keeps our feet
clean. But now, shoes are already made of rubber, plastics, and
other materials derived from petrochemicals are increasingly
being used.
