Lesson Objective(s): The students will be able to:

Resources: Book, notebook, Display Cards of pictures of flower meadow and difficult words, white board
Methodology:
(a) Prior Knowledge: (Recap, Brainstorming, Mind Mapping, etc.)
The teacher will show the display cards to students having pictures of flower meadow that if they know what it is?
Then the teacher will ask the students following questions:
1) What does the word “meadow” mean?
2) What is the synonym of meadow?
3) What is a flower meadow?
4) How will you describe a flower meadow to someone?
After getting certain responses from students, the teacher will announce the topic “Flower Meadows” and page no. 84
(b) Explanation: (Based on Cross- Curricular links)
The teacher will first introduce the topic to the students by showing them the display cards pictures of flower mead
Meadow:
Meadow is a land covered mostly with grass.
Synonym: field, grassland
Flower Meadow:
A flower meadow is a field which has grass and wild flowers growing in it.

Then the teacher will show them a video clip regarding flower meadows and in case of unavailability of the video cl
display cards which will be pasted on the board then.
Then the teacher will ask students to imagine that they are in a flower meadow. Write down some words, phrases
How would they describe the meadow to someone?
The teacher will show difficult words and phrases on the display cards to students for help like e.g.:
Long grass seeded with wild-flowers, sunlight, dew, dragonflies, mushrooms, birds chirping, wild strawberries pla
over stones, sweet flowers and berries
Now the teacher will ask the students to describe the flower meadow and then will help them in describing it and w
“I imagined a beautiful and wonderful flower meadow with long grass seeded with wild flowers, sunlight all over an
butterflies, dragonflies and bees all over the flowers. There were dry leaves trapped in the grass, wild strawberries
branches at the edge. There was sweet smell of berries and flowers all over in the clean air and dew.”

Then the teacher will explain the students about the format of letter writing taking help from page 140 and will ask
imaginative flower meadow.
