When someone speaks in front I expect everyone to be quiet, if you want to
answer and ask questions just raise your hands.

A. Activity
The students will be divided into three groups and I will give each group a topic and you have to
do it with a little understanding of what I will give to discuss. Choose 3 members in the group to
report to the front. Write it on the manila paper that I will provide, I only give you five (5)
minutes to complete your work.

B. Abstraction

Seven (7) Features of Shared Emotional Connections


1. . Contact Hypothesis – Members of the community become close when there are lots of
opportunities for interaction.
2. Quality of Interaction – when interaction brings about positive experience and good
relationships, if would then foster greater bonds or cohension.
3. Closure to events – when interactions are ambiguous and community tasks are unresolve,
then community cohension will be inhibited.
4. Share valent event hypothesis – increased importance of a shared events like crisis or
significant victory results into greater community bond.
5. Investment = the community becomes more important to someone who has given time,
energy, money. Effort and emotional openness to other members of the community.
6. Effects of honor and humiliation to community members- Members who have been
publicly reward or recognized by the community will be more attracted to that
community.
7. Spiritual bond - The spark of friendship where members are able to be with other
members of the community in order to have a setting and audience to express unique
aspects at one personality and see oneself mirrored in the eyes and response of other.
