    Dear, Sir Bernard,

    I am writing to inform you that I was unable to attend school for half a day on April 4, Tuesday due to a
    severe stomach ache. I woke up feeling unwell and the pain was persistent throughout the morning,
    which made it difficult for me to concentrate on my studies.

    As advised by my parents, I rested at home and took some medication to relieve the pain. I am feeling
    better now and will be attending classes in the afternoon. I assure you that I will make up for the missed
    classes as soon as possible and will ensure that I stay up to date with the lessons.
