1. SCOPE:&
This document describe construction methodology for carrying out Brick Masonry
Works To meet technical requirements, suitable construction methodology has been
adopted in all the works to ensure quality and safety apart from the speedy
construction. A commitment to maintain the highest possible standards has played a

key role in finalizing the task.

2. REFERENCE DOCUMENT:
Following documents in totality or in part should form the reference documents:

1) BOQ documents/Technical Specifications

2) Relevant standards for masonry works (IS 2185 part-3)

3.METHOLOGY FOR BRICK

WORK:

1. Layout for the respective floor for should be marked with thread and checked for
right angles/ dimension and opening.

3. Brick should be wetted properly prior to use.

4. Before preparing cement sand mortar, cement should be mixed with non-shrinkage

additives.

5. Mortar should be mixed standard measurement box.

6. Joints should be packed with mortar and hollow spaces should not be left.

thickness of joints should be neither less than 6mm nor more than 10mm.

joints in alternate courses should come directly one over the other and be in line.
