GDP in 2021. SMC was founded in the Philippines in 1890 as a single-product
brewery. Today, SMC is well known in the industry for its extensive service
offerings and high-quality products. There are branches in every nation, and they
also offer services to meet the needs of the community and society. These services
help in the development of both the business and the economy to help the public.

The San Miguel Foundation Inc.'s environmental program includes air, water,
and land protection. Smaller-scale tree-planting initiatives are carried out by the
Foundation in locations recommended by various San Miguel Corporation (SMC)
plants. Projects to plant trees are typically timed to fall in line with holidays focused
to plants. They are known for taking active steps to prevent harmful effects on the
environment, human health, and safety. Recycling and recovery are important
elements that lower the cost of trash disposal. Lowering gas emissions that
contribute to global climate change also cut costs. In SMC facilities, pollution
prevention is a method that aims to stop waste from being created at the source.
