Ati-atihan festival is celebrated in Kalibo,


Aklan every January to honor the Santo
Niño. Participants come together to the
street accompanied by tribal dance and
music while wearing colorful costumes. This
is enjoyed by tourists, especially foreigners.

Sinulog Festival is celebrated in Cebu


every year on the third week of January. It is
also a celebration that honors the Santo
Niño.
Sinulog comes from the word for the
movement of water.

Pahiyas Festival Lucban Quezon boasts


Pahiyas Festival as one of the most colorful
festivals in the whole world. Celebrates
Saint Isidore the Laborer also known as San
Isidro de Labrador. Farmers harvest grains,
fruits and vegetables to decorate their
homes.

Kadayawan Festival Every third week of


August, Davao City celebrates the
Kadyawan Festival. This is celebrated to
give thanks for the bountiful harvest and for
the grace of having a happy life. The festival
comes from the word 'kaday', which means
good.

The MassKara Festival is an annual


festival held in Bacolod, Philippines,
culminating on the fourth Sunday in
October. It takes place on October 23 this
