PERFORMANCE TASK/ WRITTEN WORK
3nd QUARTER
Weeks 1 and 2

DIRECTIONS: This performance task is an integration of your Math (week1) ,and Edukasyon sa
Pagpapakatao (week2) subjects.

For Mathematics Question

Remember to take down notes on the step by step procedures in solving involving
PERMUTATION to avoid mistakes and write it on a piece of paper.
Example:
How many distinguishable arrangements can be formed from the letters of the word
“PAGPAPAKATAO”?
Solution:
STEP 1 - Since there are 12 letters, get the permutation of the 12 letters. (Note: When you get the
permutation of the 12 letters you will be counting some words twice) - 12P12 = 12!

STEP 2 – The permutation of the 12 letters will be divided by the product of the number of ways to
arrange the repeated letters. (Note: The number of ways to arrange the three letter “Ps” is 3P3 = 3! and
the five letter “As” is 5P5 = 5!) 12! / 3!x5!

STEP 3 – Simplify: 12! = 479001600 = 665280

3! X 5! 720
Therefore, there are 665280 arrangements formed from the letters of the word PAGPAPAKATAO.
ACTIVITY
Find the number of distinguishable permutations of the letters in wach of the given words.

Bakit?

PERFORMANCE TASK/ WRITTEN WORK

3nd QUARTER
DIRECTIONS: This performance task is an integration of your ARTS (week 5and 8), MATH
(week6), and SCIENCE (week6) subjects.
Using the internet, you will create a multi – media presentation in Math, Arts and Science that
applies different media techniques and processes to communicate ideas, experiences and stories
showing the characteristics of 21st century art ( e.g. the use of graphic software like Photoshop,
InDesign etc.

Use graphic software such as Microsoft Word, Canva, Photoshop or any helpful
mobile application or desktop software as the medium of presentation.
In case you do not have internet access you can draw your final draft on a piece of
paper or bond paper and send it to your respective teachers
Predict the qualitative characteristics of images formed by plane and curved mirrors
and lenses and illustrate the center–radius form of the equation of a circle.
In Science choose an image of a person or an object and project your chosen image at
the center of each mirror to see the difference and in Math, draw two round mirrors ( one
curve mirror and one plane mirror ), then find the radius of each mirror.
