Chapter III

RESEARCH OF METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the methods of research to be employed by the

researcher in conducting the study which includes the research design, the

locale of the study, the research instrument and its development establishing

its validity and reliability, data gathering procedures, and the appropriate

statistical treatment of data.

Research Design

This study used the descriptive research design to determine the

Foremost Concern of Grade 11 General Academic Strand Students of Camp

Siongco National High School Towards Deforestation.

Locale of the Study

The study was conducted at Camp Siongco National High School at

Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

Respondents of the Study

The respondents of this will be the Senior High School students of

Camp Siongco National High School. The number of targets will be 30

respondents and it will be Grade 11 students, General Academic Strand. The

researchers used simple random sampling to locate the respondents.

Research Instrument

The research instrument is used to achieve the main objective of the

study. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to the Grade 11

General Academic Strand Students. The questionnaires consist of the following

question statement for the students who have concerns and are affected by

deforestation.

Data Gathering Procedure

The data will be gathered through a researcher-made survey

questionnaire with the respondents. The researchers will ask for permission

and approval to conduct this study inside the campus. The research study

aimed to gather data regarding the foremost concern of Grade 11 General

Academic Strand Students of Camp Siongco National High School Towards

Deforestation. In facilitating the collection of data, there were steps

undertaken. The researchers constructed a letter for the principal, Senior High

School Coordinator, and respondents of Camp Siongco National High School.

The revised and paraphrased questionnaires were released and given to the

selected respondents.

Statistical Treatment of Data

Statistical treatment of data presents the scale, range, description,

and visual interpretation of the survey questionnaire.
