1. Pupils fill in their personal details in the template given. (Appendix 1)
2. Pupils converse regarding the relevant of personal profiles:
i. Nationality

iv. Likes and dislikes

3. Pupils read Clairs Edwards profile and answer the questions verbally from exercise 1 on Pulse 2 page 18.
4. Pupils look at writing focus about ‘because’ and ‘so’. Teacher asks pupils how to say ‘because’ and ‘so’ to
activate their prior knowledge.
5. Pupils copy and complete the notes about Claire from exercise 3.
6. Pupils move on to exercise 4 to read the writing focus about ‘because’ and ‘so’ and complete the sentences.
LESSON 7. A few pupils share their answers with the rest of the class.
DEVELOPMENT 8. Pupils proceed to writing task – Write a short essay about personal profile by using the information on
personal details.
9. Then, pupils need to use their essay book to write a short essay by using present simple, present continuous
and because/so in their writing.
10. Pupils can refer the sample answer given as a guideline.

11. Pupil’s use their template from previous task to produce a personal profile by refering to the sample of
