At the end of the lesson the Kidnergarten-Red pupils will be able to:
a. Identify the symbols of reduce, reuse, recycle.
b. Give reasons why the 3Rs is important.
c. Reduce, reuse, recycle old objects or garbage.

a. Topic: “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”
b. Reference: Kindergarten Teacher’s Guide, DepEd Kindergarten Teachers in the Philippines FB account
c. Materials: powerpoint, printed activities, chatroom

B. Lesson Proper (Meeting Time 1)


(SE) Pagpapaunlad sa 1. Motivation
Kakayahang Sosyo- - The teacher will show a sad earth surrounded by trash.
Emosyonal - Let’s make the sad earth happy! How?
- The children will pick all the trash and put them aside.

Literacy, and - The teacher will ask, “How many junks did we pick?” and “What

- The pupils will do the 3Rs sorting game.

- The teacher will tell to them the importance of 3Rs.

- The teacher will show a pond full of garbage and the pupils will catch
these through a fishing net.
- The pupils will reduce, reuse and recycle through the items or garbages
that they caught.
Materials: used popsicles, plastic bags and plastic bottles.
- The pupils will recyle the plastic bottles and must turn it to a coin bank.
