The Forgotten Ones

Mary Jade Dondonay

The Forgotten Ones by Mary Jade Dondonay story simply tell us not to give up trying to be
success. We, people should cherish and be grateful for the kind of life we have that can eat
a lot not just 3 times a day. Not like to the others that they need to beg for money to outside
just to live.

When the girl decided to take a break at Novaliches, Bayan in Quezon City, she realized a
lot of things such that she is still lucky in her condition compared to those 3 children who’s
suffering from hunger and poverty at a very young age so that they cannot be able to enter
school. There are also an adult people who became beggars because they are jobless and
forgotten by their families or loved ones as well as the society.
The story show a reality that is already happening day by day, where life had been really
hard to those people who are less fortunate and it really seems that they really forgotten of
the society.

This really shows the present of ours. While the others making some noise having fun and
and complaining, the others work hard just to eat 3 times a day and sometimes they don’t.
Lesson learned in this story is be contented of what you have.
