B. Presentation
Motive Questions: I have prepared a mini game entitled Real or Not Real. In this game I will post
different pictures and you are going to to answer real if the images is real, and Not Real if not.
Here is the picture:
This is a centaur. This is a whale shark. A cupid.
Unlocking of Difficulties
It is Read the definition of each word that you are going to encounter
Fictitious-not real or true, being imaginary
Exaggerated-worse than in reality
Centaur -a creature with the head, arms and torso of a man and the body and legs of a horse

Our lesson for today is about Real or Make Believe Images. Looking back the pictures you have seen
which of these are reals
Why do you think they are called real? Will you please read the definition of real pictures and
statements?
They are real because we already saw them in real life.

Real images or statements can be experienced and they are facts that can be proven. When
identifying statements that express reality, one should look into things, ideas, and events
based on real-life experience using the five (5) senses
What about the remaining two, why do you think they are not real?
They are not real because there no proof that they exist
C. Lesson Proper
Therefore, real images are true and have enough evidence to prove their existence.
There is an underlined adjective that describes the ice cream. Have you tasted an ice cream before?
What does an ice cream taste like?
The ice cream tasted sweet.
Just like what we have learned a while ago, you can identify the realness of the statementby using our
five senses, and in this case, you used your sense of taste.
There is no one because it is made from imagination and will never happen in real life and that’s what
makes it a make-believe image.

GUIDED PRACTICE
We are going to read a story, but before that these are the questions you are going to answer after
reading
Who saw the golden wallet?
Describe the wallet in the cave?
What happen to her mother?
Why did she need to sell their furniture?
Why did she keep the golden wallet?
Let us read a short story entitled “The Golden Wallet”. I am giving you five minutes to read, everybody
read it silently. What are the five standards in silent reading?
Who saw the golden wallet? The girl who found the wallet is Romana
Describe the wallet in the cave? The wallet is made from the gold and it never lose money
What happen to her mother? Her mother was rush into the hospital because she was sick
Why did she need to sell their furniture? She sells them because she needs to have some money
Why did she keep the golden wallet? She keeps it because it helped them when she needed it
Why do you think Romana keep the wallet? Romana keeps the wallet because it doesn’t have any owner
and maybe she thought the wallet may help other people by donating from it.
What have you noticed in the story? There are underlined words
Read the underlined phrases derived from the story
-washing her clothes
-wallet made from pure gold
-thousand-peso bill
-money inside it doubled
(10 mins./day) -needs money to buy the medicine
-wallet never cease to produce money
Brainstorming: The class will be divided into groups. Each group will be given a copy of the exercises.
After 10 minutes each group will post their work on the board. Assigned group reporters will do the
reporting in class.
Let the different groups perform the assigned task using the given materials. Each group have
at least minutes to perform
Atis Group (1): observe the mages if it is real or make-believe and paste them based in
appropriate column
Banana Group (2): Read and understand each sentence if it is real or make-believe. Paste
the strips of sentences in their correct column
Calamansi Group (3): Identify the real and make-believe image inside the envelope then
paste it in their respective column. On the space below, write at least 3 sentences to
differentiate them.
INDEPENDENT PRACTICE
Direction A : Draw a smiley face if the picture is an example of real image and sad face if it is
a make-believe image.
Direction: B. Read each statement and identify whether it is real or make-believe. Write real
statement if it states a fact and make-believe if not.
