III. Personal Learning Experience

In this short period of time teaching some elementary students I realized that not only the student might
learn but also the teacher. While teaching my tutees I experience some difficulties in talking with them
because of fear and what if in my mind, but later on I feel comfortable with them because I feel that they are
willing to learn even though they know that I’m not yet a professional. There are also times that they are
easily distracted by the things happens in the outside of the room, therefore as a teacher I think a plan or
activity that will make the student enjoy while learning. I teach my tutees how to answer addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division with decimals problem and after that I give them an activity/problem
that they are going to solve, I feel so happy and enjoy because they asking so many questions like “sir pano
sadi” and “kuya Anli pano nakuha ini ho”. I realized that in teaching it was stressful and at the same time
enjoy.
